Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using InboxSweep ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

InboxSweep is a native macOS application that connects to your Gmail account to help you:

• Categorize emails using on-device AI
• Archive emails locally to your Mac
• Remove unwanted emails by moving them to Gmail Trash
• Restore archived emails back to your Gmail inbox

Your Gmail Account

Authentication

• InboxSweep accesses your Gmail through Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol
• You authorize specific permissions when you connect your account
• You can revoke access at any time through Google Account settings

Your Data, Your Control

• InboxSweep processes your emails only on your Mac — never on external servers
• You choose which emails to archive, remove, or restore
• InboxSweep never permanently deletes emails — all removals go to Gmail Trash (recoverable for 30 days)

What InboxSweep Does and Does Not Do

InboxSweep Does:

• Read your emails for display and categorization
• Move emails to Gmail Trash when you choose to archive or remove them
• Store archived emails as local files on your Mac
• Upload emails back to Gmail when you choose to restore them

InboxSweep Does Not:

• Send your emails to any external server
• Permanently delete any emails
• Access your Gmail without your explicit authorization
• Share your data with any third party
• Display advertising or track your behavior

Local Archive

When you archive emails through InboxSweep:

• A complete copy is saved to your Mac's local storage
• The email is moved to Gmail Trash (recoverable for 30 days)
• Your local copy is permanent and remains even if Gmail permanently deletes the trashed email
• You can restore emails from your local archive back to Gmail at any time

Limitation of Liability

InboxSweep is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from the use of InboxSweep
• We recommend maintaining your own email backups independent of InboxSweep
• We are not responsible for Gmail service disruptions or changes to Google's APIs
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App

Email Actions Are Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Reviewing emails before taking action (archive, trash)
• Ensuring you have the right to access and manage the Gmail account you connect
• Maintaining the security of your Mac and user account

Intellectual Property

InboxSweep and its content, features, and functionality are owned by InboxSweep and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Termination

• You may stop using InboxSweep at any time by uninstalling the App
• We may terminate or suspend access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms
• Upon termination, your local archive remains on your Mac

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
